Precision Industries, Incorporated was started in 1976 in Dayton, Ohio. The company was a machine shop for its primary customer, NCR.
In 1980, Positioning Devices, Inc. a Cincinnati based company, called on Precision Industries to manufacture a mechanical arm to hold television sets in hospital patient rooms. Precision improved the design of this arm and purchased the sales rights to this product in 1986. Many additional audiovisual and power supply products soon followed. In 1992, Bunting, a Connecticut based manufacturer was acquired to complement existing products. Since that time PDI Communication Systems has grown to be the leader in advanced entertainment solutions for the healthcare market and continues to offer the best-supported line of healthcare specific television solutions in the industry.
Our present plant, constructed in 1989, is located in Springboro, Ohio. This 70,000 square foot facility houses all our operations.
